Apply to join the NextGenScience PRP

NextGenScience is seeking applicants to the 2022–2023 Peer Review Panel (PRP) focused on high-quality, high school-level materials. Better instructional materials means better student learning outcomes. Help us make it happen!

The PRP is an expert cohort of educators from across the country with deep knowledge of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and features of high quality science instructional materials that reviews free and publicly available lessons and units to determine their alignment with the NGSS.

The NextGenScience PRP provides extensive formative feedback on instructional units directly to developers through confidential, iterative review cycles using the EQuIP Rubric for Science. Reviews of the top-rated instructional units in this process are shared on nextgenscience.org and can be used

  • in classrooms while transitioning to full programs designed for the NGSS,
  • as professional learning resources, or
  • as models for curriculum developers.

“The feedback provided was incredibly detailed and didn’t tell us just that we did something wrong or that it could be better but gave ideas for HOW to make it better or where to look for support on how to make it better.”
